Summary
The Product Manager, Strategic Tender Pricing at DSV is responsible for managing global/regional ocean RFQs as product interface between regional ocean product, commercial organization as well as global tender management. Furthermore, he /she is requested to provide market information and product guidance to bid owners and tender management.
The Product Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute product strategies, improve product performance and ensure customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
RFQ coordination for pre-qualified global / multi-national ocean RFQs (existing and new business opportunities)
Demonstrate commercial and product ownership during the RFQ process to ensure full alignment between internal stakeholders
Closely cooperate with other global and national RFQ functions for multi-regional RFQs
Ensure compliance with tender management and trade lane management processes
Coordinate and manage incoming RFQs within the given deadline
Analyse RFQs and provide input to product for strategy definition and prioritizations•
Request PTP rates from FCL trade lane managers (TLM) / FCL procurement team and review/validate information received
Provide market intelligence about ocean freight products and support advanced commercial analysis such as BAF adjustment mechanisms or index linked solutions
Educational background / Work experience
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, logistics, or a related field is typically required for this position.
- Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of experience in product management or related roles in the transportation and logistics industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with data analysis and market research
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in business administration or a related field
- Experience with international logistics and freight forwarding
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and technology platforms
Language skills
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
Computer Literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software is required.
