Position Summary

The Associate Director of Sports Performance will work with the Director of Sports Performance to assist with all aspects of the strength and conditioning programs for assigned sports. This position will assist with both the men's and women's basketball programs.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in related field and 3 years of related experience at the intercollegiate level.

Preferred Education and Experience

Previous experience in division one athletics with both male and female sports.
Previous experience with GPS technology.
Master's degree preferred in a sports performance or related field.

Required Other Training, Certifications, or Licensing

Certifications required:
SCCC& CSCS

Job Duties

  • Enables men and women student-athletes to perform to their physical potential in their sport through the development of strength, nutrition, and fitness training programs; develops programs by evaluating current physical conditioning, having a knowledge of the various sports and associated exercises, tailoring strength programs for specific needs, demonstrating proper performance of exercises, correcting mistakes; manages programs by monitoring progress and providing an assessment of development.
  • Mitigate the likelihood of sports-related injuries or the aggravation of such injuries during practice sessions and scheduled contests by being knowledgeable of the injuries sustained in the sport and proper mitigation methods, directing appropriate pre-training session and pre-contest preparation
