The Department of Medicine is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant who will apply specialized skills and job knowledge to support departmental operations. Responsibilities include adapting procedures, operations, techniques, tools, materials, or equipment to meet specific needs, handling non-routine tasks, and resolving issues with minimal supervision while making independent decisions within their scope of responsibility. In this role, you will manage moderately complex operational and procedural assignments that require sound judgment to address challenges. The position requires handling confidential information and recommending process and procedural improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Hourly range: $25.60-$36.33

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of administrative procedures and processes including word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Skill in managing sensitive and confidential information regarding bargaining unit issues. 

Preferred:

  • Requires verbal and written communication skills, active listening, critical thinking, multitasking and time management skills.
