This position will be primarily remote with preference to candidates located in Herndon, Dallas or Denver.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As the Corporate Accounting Manager, this role will lead and contribute to finance related initiatives and our company's overall success.
- The Accounting Manager is responsible for implementing, directing, and contributing to financial and accounting activities.
- Manage month end close process, including journal entries, financial statements/analyses and ensuring all deliverables meet established deadlines.
- Review and ensure GAAP compliance
- Oversee financial reporting system, experience with implementations
- Analyze, prepare, and present financial reports, analysis, and forecasts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Effectively communicate critical financial matters and recommendations based on financial analysis to business leaders.
- Oversee financial aspects of contracts administration, to ensure appropriate revenue recognition of complex contracts
- Enforce, document, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls
- Review/analyze monthly financial statements; Identify trends/anomalies; Provide solutions to meet business needs
- Review and approve compensation calculations; Assist in developing compensation plans as needed
- Support the annual budgeting process
- Work closely with accounting and finance teams to provide transparency into financial and accounting information
- Enjoys rolling up sleeves and contributing directly to the initiatives they oversee

- Responsible for the monthly financial close process to Key Performance Indicators and Management Discussion and Analysis.
- Review and approve monthly journal entries, reports, and reconciliations
- Prepare the monthly WIP reports in accordance with GAAP
- Planning, organizing and coordinating the annual audit with external auditors including the preparation of US GAAP compliant financial statements with all associated notes.
- Analyze, recommend, and implement necessary improvements across the finance landscape of the businesses to ensure integrity.
- Ad-hoc analysis as required by management for decision making
- Prepare the monthly and annual financial close calendar
- Establish and maintain strong working relationship with management and staff identifying and developing solutions to a full range of business issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related degree
- 5+ years of accounting experience with working knowledge of GAAP
- Private equity experience preferred
- Construction and/or project accounting experience required
- CPA and CFA preferred
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Proficient in Sedona and/ or Microsoft Dynamics 365
