JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Beaver seeks applicants for the position of part-time Coed Cross Country Head Coach. 

Candidates must be committed to our mission and will be responsible for coaching and coordinating all aspects of the program.

Duties include the recruitment and retention of student-athletes. Additionally, the selected candidate must have the ability to coordinate and instruct cross country camps on our home course during the summer months and/or academic year. Preference given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree and coaching experience at the college or high school level.

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
