About the role

Summary of Functions

The Resort Experience Project Coordinator supports the design, development, and execution of resort events, seasonal décor, furnishings, floral/landscape projects, cultural and specialty displays across the property. This role is vital to creating exceptional guest experiences inspired by the rich culture of the Kalispel Tribe of Indians and that reflects Northern Quest Resort & Casino’s hospitality standards.

Coordinator may be hired into Level I or Level II based on experience, education, and skills demonstrated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities (All Levels)

Ensure compliance with Kalispel Tribe of Indians’ Internal Controls and Northern Quest policies.

Assist in development and execution of décor, event, and project concepts.

Support project schedules, timelines, and logistics.

Perform setup, staging, and tear-down of resort décor and event installations.

Conduct property walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, safety, and brand standards.

Submit, track, and follow up on maintenance work orders.

Maintain décor/event inventory including storage, labeling, and documentation.

Provide guest service support during resort initiatives and events.

Assist with seasonal projects including outdoor décor and snow/ice removal.

Transport, load, and place materials using company vehicles/equipment.

Contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all guests and team members.

Assist in ensuring any Salish language that is incorporated into projects or displays is accurate and has been approved by Kalispel Tribe Cultural Department.

Level I

Focus on operational, hands-on support of décor, displays, event and cultural preparation.

Assist with moving, setting up, cleaning, and maintaining displays and equipment.


Track and organize inventory in warehouses and on property.

Perform routine maintenance of décor, storage, and display items.

Complete assignments with direct supervision and support.

Entry point for candidates with limited related experience but strong hospitality orientation.

Level II

Lead planning and coordination of décor and event projects from concept through execution.

Serve as liaison with external vendors; negotiate schedules and resolve service issues.

Source and order supplies, manage rental schedules, and oversee deliveries.

Maintain event calendars and project documentation.

Partner with other departments to ensure cohesive guest experiences.

Conduct post-event wrap-up and evaluation to improve future activations.

Requires independent judgment and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Other

Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians Internal Controls and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures.

Due to the cyclical nature of the resort industry, this position is required to work varying schedules to meet business needs and project demands.

Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for business levels.

Local travel may be required for special projects.

Responsible for maintaining good attendance.

Experience

5+ years of related hospitality, event/event planning, or décor experience preferred. Level and time of relevant experience will determine position level.

Prior resort/casino experience preferred.

Knowledge of industry trends strongly preferred.

Skills & Abilities

Guest service excellence with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Organizational ability to prioritize, manage time, and handle multiple assignments.

Attention to detail with ability to maintain accurate inventories and documentation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Level II also requires familiarity with project management software.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.

Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).

Education

High School Diploma or GED

AA degree or certificate equivalent preferred

Other Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.

Obtain and maintain [License or Work Permit Level].

Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.


Must have current Forklift certification or obtain certification upon hire.
