MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the physical or natural sciences or engineering and five (5) years of professional experience in environmental protection, regulation or health; one of the physical or natural sciences; or engineering; or
A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the physical or natural sciences or engineering and four (4) years of professional experience as described above; or
A doctorate from an accredited college or university with a major in one of the physical or natural sciences or engineering and two (2) years of professional experience as described above; or
Four (4) years of combined experience as an Environmental Specialist I or higher with the State of Florida; or
Five (5) years of experience as a managerial, policy-making, administrator coordinating the planning administration, data analysis and research activities of an environmental related program, three (3) years of which must have been at the supervisory level; or
Professional experience in environmental protection, regulation or health; one of the physical or natural sciences; or engineering can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
Requires possession of a valid Driver’s License.
