Overview 

Our Technical Project Management team serves as the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, and Customer Success. We are accountable for the full product development lifecycle and help deliver high-quality products that enable value for all downstream users. 
 
We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to join our growing team. This player-coach role combines hands-on technical project management with leadership responsibilities, including supervising a small team of 2–3 Technical Project Managers. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong executor, and a mentor who drives delivery excellence and process improvement across our globally distributed teams. 

Key Responsibilities 

Project Leadership & Execution 

  • Lead end-to-end technical project management for healthcare and life sciences data and analytics products. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scope, goals, and deliverables. 
  • Create detailed project plans and release strategies aligned with business priorities. 
  • Ensure and mature agile development and technical project management practices as well as coach teams on process improvements when necessary. 
  • Support day-to-day project development team activities. 
  • Track progress, unblock issues, and provide project, program and executive-level insights on project status. 

Team Management & Coaching (LMA – Lead, Manage, and Hold Accountable) 

  • Supervise and mentor 2–3 Technical Project Managers. 
  • Establish and refine project management standards, templates, and best practices. 
  • Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and development planning. 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. 

Tool Administration & Enhancement 

  • Administer and optimize Jira workflows, boards, and configurations. 
  • Enhance Jira usage across teams, including custom fields, automation, and reporting. 
  • Support and improve Tempo time tracking integration within Jira. 

Governance & Standards 

  • Define and enforce delivery governance across projects and teams. 
  • Develop and maintain standardized processes for project tracking, reporting, and documentation.
