This job posting is for 2nd shift with a rotational work schedule of 3 - 12 hours days 1 week and 4 - 12 hours days the next weekThe work hours are generally 12 hours a day and the shift generally start at 6:00 p.m.  The starting base rate of pay is $25.40/hour, plus a shift premium of $1.00/hour. Starting pay can be higher based on experience. This position is also eligible for overtime payTeam members must be willing to work overtime and weekends, as needed.      

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. 

  • Responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This includes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and equipment, and troubleshooting problems that occur in the day-to-day operation of the facility. 

  • Performs work involving hydraulics, pneumatic electrical, and mechanics in general, as well as some welding. 

  • Sets up, adjusts, and breaks down production line machinery and completes daily documentation, as required. 

  • All team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to, personal safety and food safety.  

  • Complies with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reports known or suspected violations. 

  • Attends monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT).

  • Performs other duties, as assigned. 

  • Requires basic computer skills to navigate systems, perform data entry, and complete training. 

  • Ability to read manuals to repair equipment safely and to follow all safety protocols. 

  • Ability to record information using company-provided forms and procedures. 

  • Ability to report to work as scheduled and work scheduled hours to meet job expectations, have flexibility to work other jobs, as needed, and work weekends and overtime, as needed. 

  • Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others while demo
