Job Title: Vegetation General Foreman

Job Summary:

The Vegetation General Foreman oversees and coordinates vegetation management activities related to powerline construction and maintenance. This role ensures that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Coordination: Oversee and manage crews performing vegetation management tasks, including tree trimming, brush clearing, and herbicide application.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed, conduct safety meetings, and enforce compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement work schedules, assign tasks to crew members, and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Quality Control: Monitor work quality, conduct site inspections, and ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.
• Training and Development: Provide training to crew members on proper techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use.
• Communication: Maintain clear communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, safety reports, and equipment maintenance records.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the powerline construction industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Knowledge of vegetation management techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and project plans.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting and carrying heavy equipment.
• Comfortable working at heights and in proximity to powerlines.
