Nuclear South Region Service Director will be responsible for developing and implementing execution strategies across their Portfolio. The Senior Service Director will lead a team of Service Professionals driving world class project service performance across the Southern and Western United States and Latin America. They will drive customer, functional, business, and company objectives. In this role you will integrate and drive processes that meet business and customer needs across the organization, manage complex technical and commercial issues, be involved in short and long-term planning and execution, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Job Description
Your Role:
As the Senior Services Director, you will
- Own profit and loss responsibility (orders, sales, margin, cash) for the Nuclear South Region Power Services business including parts, repairs, field services and projects for the customers in your portfolio
- Effectively communicate risks, opportunities, changes, and key gap closure activities
- Own and drive a cash target and resolve key past due or collection issues
- Be responsible for backlog, forecasting, pipeline and weekly financial tracker updates for PGS financials
- Drive operational excellence and rigor on Fulfillment 5 metrics – EHS / Quality / Cycle / Cost / Productivity and leverage key productivity tools in lean and quality to deliver process excellence
- Track performance in key areas such as EHS, customer satisfaction, productivity, outage planning, FE training and talent development
- Set the tone for EHS – SAFETY first (Always Drive improvement through process efficiency and standardization, and identification and implementation of corrective and preventative actions
- Establish and drive effective targets for Injury & Illness (I&I), near misses, observations, etc.
- Assist with short and long-term business planning team with Sales to develop the long-term growth strategy for your customers, and drive Inquiry to Order (ITO) deal development, long term strategic partnerships, and deal closure
- Own Customer Playbooks and work with the regional sales team to develop retention, growth, risk, and fulfillment strategies
- Manage customer relationships at multiple levels of their organization, providing regional leadership presence
- Work closely with Services leadership to investigate, analyze and resolve customer issues in a timely manner
- Develop the next level of Services leadership
- Be responsible for hiring, training & development, mentoring, salary planning, performance, and career assessment of assigned direct reports
- Work with Power Services team to understand both short- and long-term outage forecast, resource needs, and assist with plan for adequate resourcing
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College
- 10+ years of business operations (field service operations, service repairs) experience in power plant equipment – gas turbines, steam turbines, or generators
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience with Steam Turbine and Generator Operations and/or Maintenance
- Previous Profit & Loss (P&L) leadership experience, which included short and long-term business planning
- Field Service and/or operations Experience
- Business operation experience in the Nuclear Power Generation Industry
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the customer’s and GE’s organizations
- Experience in developing and maintaining customer relationships
- Contract negotiations experience
- Strong EHS and quality background
- Black Belt Certified or equivalent quality certification
- Strong leadership / influence and business / commercial skills
- Team leader in a dynamic, energetic and proactive environment
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing direct reports
