Join Oshkosh AeroTech as a Maintenance Mechanic, performing essential troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on airport machinery, including passenger loading bridges and related systems. You’ll diagnose equipment issues, perform detailed repairs, maintain accurate maintenance records, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. YOUR IMPACT
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery (e.g., passenger loading bridges) using diagrams, manuals, hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
Diagnose equipment issues through observation, listening, and testing.
Dismantle devices to inspect, repair, and replace defective components.
Perform preventive, corrective, predictive, and emergency maintenance, including electrical systems and control mechanisms.
Record maintenance activities, parts usage, and time spent accurately in CMMS.
Comply with all safety protocols, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out and personal protective equipment requirements.
Complete routine cleaning tasks, notify management of potential equipment issues, and be available for emergency response as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Valid Driver’s License.
2+ years’ experience in equipment maintenance and maintenance operations.
Possess mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
Availability to work day or night shift including weekends and holidays.
Willingness to work in various weather conditions as well as at different heights and in confined spaces.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in airport operations or HVAC maintenance.
Understanding of PLC Control System.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturer instructions regarding repair and maintenance of passenger loading bridges.
