Minimum of 3 shifts per 6 week schedule

This RN will complete dialysis treatments for both inpatients and outpatients. This will occur in the dialysis unit, at the patient's bedside and in the ED as needed.

Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care and teaching through nursing process. The Registered Nurse directs and guides activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing, and the established policies and procedures of the organization. Assists in the provision of care to patients of all age groups.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skill in nursing theory and practice of nursing process.
  • Nurses assigned to a specialty unit will be required to meet criteria established for that unit.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited college/university or institution.
  • Experience: Experience preferred.
  • Registration, Certification or Licensure Requirement: Current Ohio RN licensure; BLS certification required. Other certification required per department policy.

Hours:

  • Shift: Days
  • This RN will do dialysis treatments in the dialysis unit, the patient's bedside and the ED depending on the situation. This person will be responsible for 1shift per month as needed as well as 1 call shift per month. Holiday and weekends per unit policy. This RN must be trained and independent with hemodialysis treatments.
