Job Description

Salary: up to $106,000.00, based on education and experience
Full Time /Part Time: Full Time
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
Primary Hours: 8AM-5 PM
Position Description:
- The Billing and Collections Asst. Director is responsible for working with the Billing and Collections Director to provide oversight for all the billing and collections performed by the Financial Services Division. The Asst. Director works in conjunction with Program and Finance personnel to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, all revenue sources are actively monitored, outstanding receivables are collected timely, and any audit or budget issues are documented and resolved.
Position Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Lead and manage the Billing and Revenue teams maintaining an environment of accountability and excellent customer service.
- Establish and maintain new Billing and Collection policies for the Financial Services Division and related standard operating procedures.
- Establish and maintain a list of all revenue producing activities and ensure that they are in compliance with policies and SOP.
- Maintain and optimize To Be Invoiced and Accounts Receivable Aging reports for each revenue source.
- Ensure all invoicing and Newborn Screening Medicaid claims are performed on a timely basis, utilize the correct accounting and funding codes, and meet all grant and contract requirements and local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Ensure all invoicing has the required supporting documentation and that those documents/records are properly archived to support future audit and other requests for information.
- Identify and investigate coding and other invoicing issues and facilitate resolving these errors with applicable parties.
- Work with Billing Manager to track hospital invoices and Medicaid claims; ensure all rejected claims are corrected and resubmitted.
- Maintain KPIs, e.g., Average Days to Pay and Average Days to Invoice Identify areas for improvement.
