As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and controlling access points, conducting routine patrols throughout the location, and remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with a diverse range of individuals, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. This position requires driving as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the healthcare facility, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
• Assist with the implementation of site-specific security-related procedures and policies to help maintain a secure environment.
• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and patients by addressing inquiries and offering assistance as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations and/or lockdowns when necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to help maintain a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
