Your Responsibilities

As a Training & Demonstration Specialist for John Deere Training Center located in Davenport, IA, you will help dealers, employees, and customers operate John Deere construction equipment with confidence while strengthening the customer and dealer experience through effective training, demonstrations, and product expertise.In addition, you will:

Partner with Training teams to develop equipment training content and serve as a subject matter expert for machine operation.
Serve as an in-house product consultant across multiple construction machine forms, applications, and customer use cases.
Deliver training sessions for employees, dealers, and customers at Davenport, IA; Sacaton, AZ; and dealer locations.
Support demonstration site operations, including site readiness, event execution, and customer visits.
Manage Training Center inventory across multiple locations.
Travel approximately 50% to support dealer training, demonstration sites, and customer engagements

What Skills You Need

Expert-level construction equipment operation experience
Strong understanding of customer applications in site development, underground, or road-building environments
Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage priorities across locations
Ability to travel up to 50%

What Makes You Standout

Experience in a dealer environment, construction equipment sales, service, or product training role
Comfort working in field environments, with the ability to be as effective on a demo site or jobsite as in the classroom
Knowledge of the John Deere dealer channel, construction products, markets, and competitors
Surveying experience and/or experience with Topcon, Trimble, or Leica systems
Hands-on machine operation or on-site construction equipment experience

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Technical Discipline or equivalent related work experience
