Summary:

The Waterbase Chemist will be responsible for new product development and technical service support for water-based adhesives product line for US and Mexico.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead new and existing product development projects
• Research and Development of new formulation
• Conduct product modifications as demanded by business needs
• Plan, facilitate and communicate development updates to dept supervisor
• Provide support to manufacturing facilities with existing or modifications of products
• Keep accurate and updated laboratory records
• Take initiative to contribute to the positive growth of the department and organization while being a positive and motivating team player.

These activities are the basic job requirements. You may be asked periodically to help or assist in other job duties as management deems necessary.

Requirements

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field
• 5-10 Years related work experience.
• Experience in Research and Development of waterbase adhesives
• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of chemicals, raw materials analysis, and applications of such.
• Know and understand lab safety procedures.

Preferred:

• Direct working knowledge of Waterbase adhesives
• Proven track record of waterbase adhesive development projects
