About the role

Summary of Position:

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the oversight of the operation of the campus building(s). This role is responsible for making sure that their services/events meet the needs of the people that attend and work in them. This is a multi-tasked position involving light building maintenance and a working knowledge of general building operations, full knowledge of all Housekeeping, Facility, Floor Care and Events Setup for Gateway Church and any other campuses. This position requires spiritual, relational, and professional development of employees, creating and executing action plans for event preparation, applying emergency situation response when needed, assessing priorities, coordinating tasks and workloads effectively, ensuring quality assurance, ordering and maintaining supplies within budget and supervision, scheduling of maintenance contractors and building inspections.

Principal Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day building operations
  • Make sure the building is in accordance with city and state guidelines, maintaining building city inspections
  • Perform light maintenance
  • Schedule and oversee maintenance contractors and confirm completion of contracted work
  • Foster a professional working environment
  • Scheduling of all Facilities Staff for Campus
  • Responsibility for assuring that buildings are unlocked and secured per Campus Schedules
  • Daily inspection of the building that things are in good order
  • Manage Planning Center-Calendar requests and coordinate set-up with Event Coordinator
  • Responsibility for Energy Stewardship for Campus
  • Editing and approval for Workday
  • Ordering of all supplies and maintain within budget, reflecting good stewardship
  • Upkeep and preventive maintenance for all Facilities equipment
  • Oversight of each Facilities team member and conduct regular oversight meetings, including coaching of spiritual, relational, and professional development, disciplinary procedures, and Annual Reviews
  • Leadership of all Facility Staff with regular informational meetings
  • Budget preparation, ownership, and accountability
  • Training of all Facility Staff for safety, handling of chemicals, use of equipment, cleaning processes, access of sensitive areas, use of Helpdesk tickets, Workday, department procedures and processes etc.
  • Liaison with Central Event Administration for Major Ministry Events (MMEs)
  • Hiring, coaching, discipline, and terminations for all Facilities staff for campus
  • Delegation and oversight of responsibilities to downlines
  • Bearer of and accountability for credit card and invoice processing or Facilities purchasing using Concur and Intacct systems according to company guidelines
  • Accountability for all overtime worked and justification to Oversight
  • Lead and participate in weekly oversight meetings to maintain and build spiritual, relational, and professional relationships
  • Other tasks or areas of responsibilities as assigned

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Sit/stand for long periods of time
  • Occasionally kneel, or crouch
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
