PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the distribution warehouse and deliver results according to Rich Products standards in warehouse operations.

 

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for 8 or more hours during the work day. Must also be able to conduct visual inspections and be able to withstand a harsh temperature environment (-10 degrees to 95+ degrees)

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

Negotiation, Supplier Management

  • Set standards of Performance for the warehouse consistent with the departmental and company business objectives
  • Manage performance of vendors providing general maintenance and upkeep of building and grounds
  • Manage all capital projects, negotiating rates for service and equipment (including equipment leases)

 

Site Specific Criteria

  • Be open minded and get to know the requirements BVL must meet to comply with agencies such as FDA and US customs
  • Be willing to know the Shrimp/Seafood receiving, inspection, and release process, including batch characteristics
  • Experienced in plant and warehouse audits and GMP’s
  • Establish and lead CS&L pillar for the Brownsville, TX plant
  • Support plant trios
  • Support and development of warehouse team

 

Systems Application Acumen & Data, Financial Analysis

  • Develop and manage annual operating budgets
  • Strong understanding of Warehouse Management System
  • Responsible to ensure Warehouse Management systems meet all unique customer requirements and ability to control inventory (recall process)
  • Understand key financial drivers of expense to drive continuous improvement to ensure we control expense and deliver budget responsibility
  • Oversees invoice submittal and Ariba purchasing with the understanding of budgetary expectations
  • Strong understanding of WMS

 

Inventory Management/Oversight, Supply Chain Acumen, Customer Service, Strategic Sourcing (Ariba)

  • Oversee all operational KPIs metrics and standards in place making sure associates meet those goals
  • Cycle Count and Track and Trace understanding (recall process)
  • Oversee Dump and Destroy, QI, and Distress product which assists in maintaining proper warehouse inventory levels
  • Assists with Transportation and Warehouse operations (UberFreight)
  • Warehouse associates scheduling for the week and weekend
  • Truck Turn Time oversight
  • Assists CDL yard drivers with shuttles in and out of the facility
  • Integral part of the hiring, firing, celebration, and discipline of associates

 

Inventory Management, Supply Chain Acumen, Customer Service, Strategic Sourcing

  • Deliver against all operational KPI’s
  • Detailed understanding and manage to our Standard Operating Guidelines
  • Responsible to manage space at efficient levels working through our planning teams
  • Provide direct customer interface between Customer Service and Sales team to deliver the Rich Experience
  • Provide operation interface between Transportation and the warehouse operations (Uber, Chep)
  • Responsible for CDL driver compliance and the oversight of CDL shuttles in and out of the facility

 

Project Management, Process Knowledge

  • Safety first, provide leadership, and resources required to ensure a safe workplace
  • Support projects as they arise within the facility as well as support for projects supporting the greater CS&L initiatives.
  • Safety first, safety meetings, and address safety concerns in the workplace
  • Rich’s processes and handbook understanding
  • SAP and WINS (WMS) training for Group Leaders
  • ADP timecard, PTO, and points accruals
  • AIB, EoY, and Chep audit proficiency

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics is preferred but NOT required
  • Minimum of 5 years of L
