Status: Full Time, Regular; Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $24.73 per hour [Approximately 45,000 annually]
Location: Freedom House Bronx
Days/Hours: 4pm - 12am
Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring that the assigned shift completes the designated shift responsibilities daily. The Team Leader will provide support to Residential Aide and Social Service staff as needed. The Team Leader will always lead by example by being on time and prepared to work daily.

We anticipate that we will keep growing, both in size and depth of service. Fortune has a dual mission: both advocacy and service. The advocacy portion of our mission focuses on building a more just criminal legal system and reducing the barriers to reentry into society. The service side of Fortune has evolved to encompass a broad range of programs that started with employment and education and now includes a robust array of services, among them: alternatives to incarceration, supervised release, court advocacy, discharge planning within correctional facilities, licensed substance use and mental health treatment, a housing continuum ranging from emergency and transitional through permanent congregate and scattered site housing, assistance in obtaining benefits, a care management unit, HIV services, a food and nutrition program, and an arts program. Each service we provide is informed by the needs of the population we serve. Fortune currently serves approximately 14,000 people a year. Our program models are recognized, both nationally and internationally, for their quality and innovation. We have locations in Brooklyn, The Bronx, Manhattan and Queens.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform other duties as assigned

Work with RA Supervisor to ensure that shift responsibilities are met daily;

Communicate effectively with RA Supervisor, other team leaders and RA staff;

Intervene in crisis situations and provide appropriate support when necessary;

Ensure that regular patrols of resident floors and administrative offices are conducted;

Under the supervision of the RA Supervisor, follow up with Management Team when emergency situations arise;

Assist with the training of new hires;

Ensure that all Shift and Incident Reports are completed by the end of the shift and any important information is passed on to the next shift and other appropriate staff as needed;

Ensure that designated shift has appropriate supplies / utensils to facilitate smoothly;

Provide assistance to RA Supervisor as needed;

Provide assistance to RA staff in crisis or emergency situations;

Provide assistance to Social Service staff as needed; and
