Financial Business Advisor – IT Finance Performance Management & Analysis 

This finance role will support the Technology build portfolio, focusing on providing comprehensive financial consultation, planning, and analysis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating the development of operational forecasts and budgets, as well as reporting on financial income, loss, and expense measures. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Financial Consultation: Provide financial consultation, planning, and analysis for major business operations, particularly in the technology build portfolio. 

• Forecasting and Budgeting: Coordinate the development of operational forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals. 

• Reporting and Analysis:   Provide insights to support decision-making for technology investments, with an emphasis on expected benefits and long term implications to run rate expenses 

• Business Case Development:  Evaluate business cases, understanding the financial impact of technology investments. 

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to make existing processes more efficient while maintaining high-quality outcomes. 

• Stakeholder Management: Orchestrate large-scale processes with leaders and stakeholders to ensure key deadlines are met. 

• Change Management: Support and influence team members to accept and adapt to new technologies and organizational changes. 

• Knowledge Sharing: Build and share knowledge of organizational structure and products to drive superior results. 

Preferred Skills: 

• Financial Analysis: In-depth knowledge of statistical/financial analysis, financial statement, and budget preparation. 

• Technical Proficiency: Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience in creating executive-level presentations. 

• Project Management: Familiarity with project management concepts and techniques. 

• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with team members and stakeholders. 

• Technical Skills: Experience with Essbase is preferred but not required. 

• Industry Background: Experience in the insurance and/or financial services industry is desirable. 

• Technology Investments: Understanding the financial impact of technology investments. 

• Continuous Improvement: Skills in continuous improvement methodologies and tools like Power BI.
