Be part of an extraordinary life!   We are currently seeking an outstanding Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) to work in Assistance in Living (AIL) within our Home Care department. This is a full-time, flex position, typically working 8am-8pm and occasionally working 8am-4pm (guaranteed 36 hours weekly). All of our Home Care assignments are located on our Independent Living campus. No more driving across town traveling to your next assignment!   We are offering a $700 sign-on bonus for this position!   Here are a few of the daily responsibilities C.N.A.: 
  • This position will provide daily flexible care for various member assignments
  • Visits those identified as “at risk” for behavior observation, monitoring functional capabilities, providing encouragement and support.
  • Routinely follows up with members currently or recuperating from illness or hospitalization.
  • Assists members with making appointments.
  • Give reminders to take medication.
  • Facilitates exercise programs and encourages member to participate in campus activities.
  • Offers companionship for off campus excursions/appointments/shopping.
  • Provides ambulation/wheelchair assistance for on campus events.
  • Assists with ADL’s, dressing/bathing, meal preparation and household tasks including light laundry, dishes and bed making.
  • Observes and reports changes in behavior/appearance noted during casual contact.
  • Check blood pressures and assist with blood sugar testing when needed.
  • Performance of assigned tasks in emergency situations including fire, electrical and disasters.
  • Documents services rendered and observations of members as required.
  • Provide quick and courteous responses to member requests and questions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of member information.
  • Communicate with the Home Care Director on a daily basis and report all pertinent information immediately.
  • Assists Staffing Coordinator or Director with administrative tasks as assigned.
  Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: 
  • Active North Carolina CNA certification.
  • First Aid/CPR Certified.
  • Two+ (2+) year experience working as a CNA/PCA/HHA/RA preferred. 
  • Experience in geriatrics preferred but not required.
  • Need to have reliable transportation.

 

Pay range $16.50 - 17.45 per hour depending on experience + $700 SIGN-ON BONUS!
