Position summary:
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for customer support, estimating & quoting print jobs, establishing job tickets, finishing and packaging jobs, and delivering jobs to the Campus Store. In addition the position will serve as a backup for other staff and provide essential communication to team members and clients.
Position responsibilities:
- Manage incoming calls and customer service inquires
- Able to multi-task, prioritize
- Manage quoting in Printsmith and generate customer estimates and job tickets.
- Assist in accounts receivable efforts and communications with customers.
- Oversee and manage the online ordering and online store processes.
- Assess customer’s design & job needs and direct job appropriately.
- Effectively communicate and build relationships with customers through email, phone, and face-face communications.
- Serve as liaison between the college faculty/staff and printshop personnel.
- Communicate effectively with different types of people and personalities.
- Manage time effectively.
- Serve as backup or provide assistance for print operators as needed.
- Manage product packaging and delivery to Campus Store.
- Provide customer support regarding details of their orders and estimates.
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience working with digital printers
- Basic knowledge of print processes
- Basic understanding of standard & metric measurements
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook and managing multiple mailboxes and folders
- Experience with managing multiple schedules
- Basic MS Excel knowledge and work with spreadsheets
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
- Must be a problem solver: someone who is not afraid to ask questions and help find solutions to optimize our everyday tasks.
- Must be comfortable in a fast moving, higher stresses position managing multiple workflows and projects at one time.
- Must be able to stand for extended time periods and lift up to 50lbs

- Work is normally performed in an office and production work environment.
- Physical effort required; the employee must occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds

- Compensation for this 12-month position is $32,574
Kilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program. As a result, employees/retirees of the college are subject to the federal Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and possibly the Government Pension
