Alcon is looking to hire a District Sales Manager to join our Vision Care Sales team and support our Dallas/ Fort Worth / Louisiana territories. This position will be responsible for hiring, developing, coaching, and training a team of sales representatives to reach or exceed financial and territory management objectives. As a Vision Care District Manager, you will be able to:
Hire, develop, inspire, coach and train Sales Representatives to meet or exceed Alcon’s sales, financial and territory management objectives.
Strengthen your team through coaching conversations during co-travels and business reviews, training, and on-boarding activities.
Proactively collaborate with Account Manager District Managers to align the PXMs and Account Managers (AMs) on the top priority accounts to drive adoption of innovation and value-added offerings.
Drive sales results through your knowledge of the market, customers, competitors and Alcon product, consultative sales skills, and prioritization of activities
Ability to be agile and manage through change in a fast-moving environment.
Increase performance results by applying data insights from sales tools and feedback from customers and participating in field co-travels.
Assess the talent landscape and champion growth and development via performance assessments and career discussions.
Mentor and assist team members to build and implement a strategic plan for their territory to capitalize on revenue and market share growth from the highest potential customers.
Work with other Alcon team members (Strategic Accounts, Marketing, Pricing, etc.) to identify and capitalize on opportunities from the largest customers in specific markets and opportunity targets.
Lead in District/Regional/National meetings.
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+1 yr)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
5 Years of Relevant Experience
3 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
Work hours: Full time / 25% overnights
Travel Requirements: 25%
