About the role

Full-Time Day Shift Position – Limited Weekend Calls
Oversee a team of Mobile Phlebotomists operating from Liberty Township, OH to Bowling Green, OH.

Position Summary:
Responsible for the operations and managerial functions of lab support services (Phlebotomy/Processing) for Long-Term Care (LTC) facilities and off-site collection services. Individual must have the ability to positively interact with facility staff as well as with geriatric and other skilled nursing patients.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and supervision to the Mobile Phlebotomy team, ensuring efficient scheduling, service delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee payroll, manage department expenses, and maintain adequate supply inventory.
• Hire, train, and develop staff through education, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
• Conduct annual one-on-one meetings, set goals, document performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with staff through meetings, memos, and individual discussions.
• Collaborate with client leadership to meet long-term care (LTC) and other client needs.
• Participate in management meetings and contribute to operational improvements.
• Ensure smooth shift transitions and effective shift-to-shift communication.
• Perform laboratory support duties and mobile phlebotomy services as needed.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree preferred; high school diploma/GED with 5 years of phlebotomy management experience acceptable.
• 3-5 years of laboratory experience, including phlebotomy, with increasing responsibilities in a medical lab setting.
• Strong client service and customer satisfaction skills.
• Demonstrates core organizational values, sound reasoning, and independent judgment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of liability auto insurance required.

Physical & Safety Requirements:
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk 5-7 miles daily with rest breaks, and perform full range of motion, including sitting, standing, and bending.
• Work effectively in high-stress, multitasking environments.
• Maintain availability via phone and electronic communications.
• Exposure to biohazard substances and hazardous chemicals
• Adherence to safety, ergonomic, and health policies
• Compliance with PPE requirements in lab or biohazard areas
• Completion of required safety training and health evaluations promptly
• Proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety hazards, promoting safety awareness
