Description
The Monell Chemical Senses Center is a world-renowned, non-profit research institute and a global leader dedicated to advancing knowledge about the senses of taste, smell, and related senses and translating its discoveries into real-world advances in policy, practice, and behavior. Monell is located in the heart of Philadelphia’s educational and life sciences hub. We are looking for an Archive and Library Assistant to help digitize our records.
Duties:
● cataloging books using TinyCat, our library software or similar software
● scanning archive documents
● updating the finding aids
● creating metadata for archived documents
● updating the archive database Omeka or a similar software
● other duties as assigned
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s Degree in Information Sciences or related field or equivalent work experience.
● Other qualifications are attention to detail, and the ability to extract meta-data from documents.
