Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employee without sponsorship.

Purpose

To develop journey-level skills through training on skilled work within the specific trade assignment. Responsible for learning skills in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the trade assignment, and performing such work to the limit of their experience.

Responsibilities

  •  Learns journey level skills by installing, maintaining, operating, building, or repairing the equipment and materials relevant to the trade assignment
  • Uses tools and equipment to perform the duties of the trade assignment as outlined in the journey-level job description to the limit of their experience.
  • Performs periodic duties listed in the journey-level job description to the limit of their experience. Drive UT vehicle. Maintains acceptable driving record required by UT Systems Policy UTS157.
  • Performs related duties as assigned. Performs other functions as assigned. Performs all work in accordance with appropriate safety standards and practices
  • Perform other related functions as assigned. Work is performed in accordance with normal trade practices and is inspected for conformity to standards, quality, and quantity by journey-level employees or supervisors. Attends staff meetings, safety training, and meetings. Complete plant op
