An ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of all aspects of HR, experience in a consulting-type HR role, and confidence aligning people and talent initiatives with business priorities. The position formulates partnerships within the People Team to deliver value-added service to people leaders and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy used to help drive a high performance culture that contributes to the business unit's organizational results, its midrange plans, and its functional responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Build strong, trusted relationships with people leaders to drive organizational and people-focused strategies in designated business units.
- Partner with executive members and senior management to consult on high level strategic and organizational initiatives and provide valuable feedback and suggestions.
- Act as an expert in all things HR related to effectively communicate, interpret, consult, and educate on various HR best practices, policies, laws, and procedures.
- Attend designated business units leadership meetings to educate, facilitate discussion, maintain a consistent understanding of the organization’s needs and goals, and provide strategic insights.
- Provide coaching and input on workforce planning, succession planning, career development, and training needs.
- Manage and resolve all employee relations issues for your designated business units, conduct thorough and objective investigations, and partner with Legal as needed.
- Partner with peers to translate employee feedback and engagement information into actionable feedback for people leaders to support the business’ current and future state.
- Establish and maintain a culture of responsiveness and urgency when working with employees and people leaders in order to formulate trust.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of HR laws and regulations, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Analyze and interpret various types of employee reports (e.g., compensation, job levels, and attrition) to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions for designated business unit(s).
- Provide HR expertise in the areas of feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation, and organizational development.
- Collaborate with the HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results.
- Demonstrate credibility and integrity in communications to ensure information flows upward and downward.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as an HRBP or 5+ years breadth across various HR disciplines.
- Experience working effectively with executive members and senior leaders.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to build strong partnerships.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply appropriate HR laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies and to effectively resolve employee relations issues.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle issues ethically and with integrity.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
Preferred Qualifications
- PHR/SPHR Certification
- Master’s Degree in HR or related field
- Proficiency in Google Suite
