Overview The Auditor I, Measurement Standards and Compliance is primarily responsible for the oversight and management of Media Ratings Council audits of Nielsen’s IT General Controls as they apply to our overall accreditation processes. The auditor plays a lead role in identifying and resolving issues that may arise and working to remove any roadblocks to the audits.
The auditor ensures that all audit deliverables are complete and accurate to reflect the true state of compliance with Nielsen and MRC standards.
The auditor partners with our technology product and operations teams to facilitate the audit walkthroughs and deliverables in line with defined timelines.
The auditor also is responsible for communication with key stakeholders to ensure transparency in audit status and to proactively present potential areas of non-compliances.
Core Responsibilities Lead the ITGC Audits-Responsible for coordination, oversight and delivery of the annual EY ITGC audits for MRC accreditation.-Working as part of our broader Measurement Standards and Compliance function, the auditor will collaborate across our organization and is responsible for PBC delivery, data analysis, and weekly communication with the external auditors to ensure timely submission of all audit deliverables. -Primary interface with external CPA firm for inscope activities (including managing associated budget)
Consults on/Participates in 3rd party and international digital audits -Partner with the leader of our International Audit team to act in a consultant or facilitator capacity for international JIC audits where ITGCs are inscope-Act in a consultant or facilitator capacity for US 3rd party audits related to data privacy or IT General Controls.
Data Quality and Compliance -Acts in a consulting capacity with the Audio, Video and Nielsen One IT process owners to provide guidance on compliance with MRC standards for new processes/applications and for remediation of audit findings.-Oversees the monthly ITGC Reporting to ensure accuracy and completeness of reported metrics across the reporting platforms.
Stakeholder communication-Maintains open communication with MSC Leadership, and External Auditors to ensure transparency in audit status and potential non-compliances.-Responsible for weekly update of the ITGC slides in MSC decks used for weekly/monthly reports out to External Auditors, MRC and Nielsen Leadership.
Reports and Documentation-Provides input to Nielsen responses to all EY reports and MRC letters for the digital and ITGC audits.
In addition, the auditor is expected to be an active member of the Measurement Standards and Compliance team participating in all relevant activities within the function.

Educational Background/Knowledge
- Level of studies: University Degree or Diploma
- Type of studies: Business, Accountancy, Statistics or Technology
- 3 or more years Audit or ITGC work experience
- A working knowledge of MRC Measurement Standards
- Computer literate using R or Python is advantage
- Work experience with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence is an advantage.
- CPA certification preferred
- Proficient in English or native English
