Overview

The Acupuncturist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of health conditions using acupuncture needles at various places on the body as well as using other tools including electrostimulation and cupping therapy, as well support the general maintenance of good health.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned clients and establishes a treatment plan.  Discuss treatment options and preventative measures
• Completes client treatment according to plan of care and modifies plan to meet client needs, and updates plan as appropriate
• Completes documentation accurately, timely, according to regulatory and state licensure requirements, and within professional standards
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals as necessary to ensure smooth continuous care of the clients. May act as a liaison with medical and other therapy staffs to facilitate problem solving and coordination of other services and act as an educational resource
• Maintains and follows standard quality, safety, environmental and infection control policies, and procedures
• Participates in staff meetings, client care meetings, educational in-services, caregiver orientation and other professional activities
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduated from an Acupuncture program that satisfies the standards of the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) or an equivalent accreditation body
• One-year current Acupuncturist experience within a multi-disciplinary practice setting preferred
• Current Acupuncture License from the state licensing board
• Proof of current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification 
• Excellent clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Strong computer skills
• Job duties and responsibilities may include serving patients in both the Portland location as well as Vancouver, Washington. Travel may be required during a regular workday

Salary Range

USD $40.00 / Hour
