PURVIS Systems is seeking an individual to support various tasking associated with the HAZMAT material and Safety team supporting the U.S. Naval Array Technical Support Center.

PURVIS Systems is seeking an individual to support various tasking associated with the HAZMAT material and Safety team supporting the U.S. Naval Array Technical Support Center.
The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:
- Routine floor inspections, which involves observing the work area for safety hazards; ensuring personnel are wearing the correct PPE and attire; ensuring adherence to safety standards; and maintaining compliance within the work area.
- Hazard Materials - maintaining status records of all hazardous material; completing hazardous waste forms to request weekly waste removal; maintaining the authorized use list for the program and maintain list of materials; work with the purchasing department to ensure required materials are available and compliant; maintain compliance with Satellite Accumulation areas; maintain the Safety Data Sheets for all hazardous material on hand.
- Safety - Participate in routine safety inspections with government personnel. Maintain job hazard assessments or work permits for hazardous processes
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, Trade School or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail skills, strong multi-tasker.
- Familiarity with hazardous material is a plus.
- Excellent computer schools.
- Prior work experience in a production-type environment.
- Possess good communication and documentation skills, disciplined, self-motivated work ethic; and the ability to thrive within a team environment.
