A Technical Applications Formulation Intern will play a vital role in supporting the evaluation of VMHS formulations to identify opportunities to create vitamin pre-mix formulations. These formulations will be used across multiple bulks improving efficiencies at all VMHS sites. The intern will need to be capable of self-management, collaborate well with functional areas, and escalate issues. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the supplement industry while working alongside experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision, assists CTAG in the formulation of nutritional supplement products in various forms in support of manufacturing.
- Collects and summarizes data
- Keeps records of laboratory work and observations
- Uses a variety of software tools and programs to input and retrieve data as needed.
- Cleans and maintains lab equipment and room after use.
- Completes special projects on time, as assigned by their supervisor/mentor.
- Ensures that all internal and external work activities are conducted to appropriated standards, in accordance with Company policies, laws, quality standards, SOPs, etc.

Experience
- Lab or pilot plant experience, knowledge of food chemistry and formulation methods a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Areas of Study/Majors
Currently pursuing a degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific/engineering field.
Additional Requirements
Preference should be given to someone who has worked in a pilot plant environment, or has experience in food formulation and laboratory.
The approximate target compensation range for this role is $28/hr. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position
