About the role
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial sales lead to help us sell into new health systems and expand strategic current client relationships for our North Eastern Territory. You’ll be working closely with the Director of Sales to understand our prospect and partner organizations, present our product, sell against client needs, work with the C-suite to get into budget cycles, establish VOI/ROI, and close business deals. We prefer this hire live on the East Coast to accommodate same time zone territory, however, all candidates will be considered. Candidate must reside in the great 48 United States.
You’ll also have an opportunity to assist in other growth related activities like presentation building, new product pricing and launches, sales team expansion discussions, and will be a key player in the growth of the company.
Vital builds software for care teams & patients, with a focus on the Emergency Room and Inpatient experiences. We use artificial experience and consumer design principles to engage patients in their visit, and to facilitate a smooth transition of care.

Roles and Responsibility
- Generate new business through direct sales efforts to C-Suite hospital executives, including: CEO, CFO, CNO, CMO, and CXO, in addition to department VPs.
- Work in coordination with a dedicated Business Development Specialist to manage the entire sales cycle (prospect, qualify, proposal, negotiate and close) through forecasting, account strategy & planning, and a detailed, process-driven approach to managing your territory.
- In coordination with Strategic Account Directors & Client Success Managers, provide a growth strategy for current customers for new sales opportunities regarding our services and products.
- Focus on working alongside SADs and CSMs to foster same store growth and maintaining executive relationships for purposes of growth.
- Maintain documentation of the sales process and ongoing prospective client interaction through our CRM
- Deliver presentations and product demos for prospective clients.
- Participate in quarterly business reviews, sometimes requiring travel.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5+ years experience in Healthcare IT sales, constantly hitting and exceeding targets.
- The ability to prospect and close new clients as well as partner with Client Success for upsell opportunities at existing clients.
- Clear communicator that is able to stick to their guns and influence others.
- Strong business acumen, ability to close business deals that are a win-win.
- High initiative; sense of urgency; and self-motivation.
- SaaS and/or IT sales experience within a health system environment.
- Understanding of healthcare environments, patient engagement and hospital operations.
- Customer advocate with a positive attitude who can build trust with clients.
- Strong team player and a strategic thinker.
- Proficient with G-Suite (Google Slides, Sheets, Slack, Docs), Salesforce, Definitive Healthcare, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator..
- Overnight Travel approximately 10-25%
- This position is supporting our West Coast Territory and it is strongly preferred that this hire lives within the West Coast to serve the needs of our clients.
