About the role
Description:
The Facility Engineer oversees the facility infrastructure and its utilities, ensuring proper functioning and cGMP compliance. Provides support to various Engineering projects.
Essential Functions:
- Oversees facility infrastructure and its utilities to minimize repairs and downtime
- Leads facility equipment installation projects
- Provides detailed reports and prepares projects Gantt charts
- Coordinates plant maintenance activities
- Participates in the development of training materials to support a facilities Maintenance training program and Improve the facility maintenance program to optimize its costs, compliance and effectiveness
- Participates in investigations to determine failure root causes and analyzes data
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provides support and coordinates tasks involving engineering project teams regarding all areas of maintenance impact such as layouts, spare/parts materials, design for maintainability
- Verifies and develops P&ID, engineering layout, engineering drawings and engineering documents.
- Assists validation engineers in qualification of the facilities and utilities
Education:
- Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Engineering, Pharmaceutical Industry - Required
- Master Degree (MS/MA) Engineering, Pharmaceutical Industry - Preferred
Experience:
- less than one year in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Industry
Skills:
- Reads and understands P&ID, engineering layout, engineering drawings and engineering documents. - Intermediate
- MS Office - Intermediate
- Must be detail-oriented; must have good communication and time management skills. - Intermediate
Specialized Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices
