Position Description:
Associate Director, Pension Investments
Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, Pension Investments, the Associate Director, Pension Investments will assist in the management of over $25 billion in pension and benefits trust investments. Duties are a mixture of recurring and project related tasks and involve presentations to and interaction with senior management.
Responsibilities include:
Analyzing and communicating investment manager performance and compliance with investment guidelines
Conducting searches for new investment managers
Evaluating new asset classes and/or investment opportunities
Performing and evaluating asset/liability modeling studies
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
Required Experience and Skills:
4 years of Finance experience;
able to work independently and accurately under time constraints;
proficient in Microsoft Excel;
able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Preferred Experience and Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build internal and external relationships;
advanced degrees and/or certifications such as MBA, CFA or CPA;
understanding of investments, portfolio theory and statistics;
working knowledge of simulation techniques including Monte Carlo analysis;
experience developing complex financial models
