Our organization is seeking highly motivated technical school students for maintenance technician summer externship positions. Throughout the summer, you’ll collaborate with and learn from our maintenance team to accelerate your knowledge and learning, so you can succeed in a hard-working and fluid environment. As Maintenance Tech Extern, you'll refine your maintenance skills and gain hands-on experience while learning and assisting with the maintenance, repair and operations of our facilities, including maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Assists with a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support operations
• Collaborates with others to find solutions to technical and operational issues
• Follows company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance processes and procedures
• Follows and supports Williams Core Values
• Acquires knowledge of and follows requirements for safe and efficient operations and completion of tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Required: High school diploma/GED
• Preferred: Currently attending a technical/trade school studying HVAC & Refrigeration Technology

Physical and Environment Work Requirements:

Must be willing to:

• Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
• Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as the need arises
• Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
• Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
• Use hand tools

Other Requirements:

• Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
• Preferred: Prior leadership experience within a work, project and/or campus environment
