Oklahoma Route 66 Museum

Temporary-Admissions and Gift Shop Associate

Typical Functions

• Staffs admissions desk and gift shop

• Handles direct sales to the public, including operation of the cash register and credit card machines, keeping merchandise stocked, priced and in order

• Maintain positive relations with visitors, being courteous, respectful, and  exercising flexibility to best serve the public during all work activities

• Assists with daily cleaning tasks

• Gives visitors an introduction to the museum

• Gives guided tours as needed

• Assists with collections inventory and cleaning

• Helps present programs and special events

• Coordinates volunteer schedules

• This position does require a work schedule to include the week-end and extended hours during the summer and special events

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED
