Job Summary

The Regulatory Data & Systems Leader offers a challenging opportunity to gain exposure across the DuPont product portfolio and support the business units and/or the Corporation in the application of product regulatory systems and tools.  The role involves leading a global team of SAP EH&S subject matter experts, leading and/or participating on continuous improvement projects, as well as leading and assisting with the daily run and maintain activities to support processes and functionality and/or support the translation of business regulatory requirements into SAP EH&S system logic.  The Regulatory Data & Systems Leader is also highly proficient in SAP EH&S functionality and has a complete knowledge of the relevant regulatory compliance needs of the business(es). 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a global team of SAP EH&S process design leads, business process owners, and data & systems analysts overseeing and maintaining multiple SAP EH&S environments, business regulatory data maintenance, including business request processes utilizing leveraged support.

• Responsible for developing and mentoring Regulatory Data & Systems resources.

• Work collaboratively with the other PS&R managers.

• Sponsor chartered projects impacting the SAP EH&S system infrastructure and data processes.

• Represent as PS&R functional integrator for IT cross-functional projects.

• Accountable for SAP system operation and process decisions

• Engage External Services Providers (SAP, 3E, TCS, etc.) as needed for work that cannot be supported internally.

• Lead SAP EH&S Business Process Owner Community.

• Participate as a member of the EHS Global Core Team and EHS Architecture Review Meeting.

• Responsible for communications to SAP EH&S users

• Understand and develop the processes used for data review, analysis, validation, and maintenance.

• Identify and troubleshoot regulatory data and systems issues.

• Lead implementation projects and task teams.

• Responsible for strategic harmonization efforts across multiple SAP EH&S environments.

• Approve SAP security (GRC) requests

Education & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field of study (e.g., chemistry, chemical engineering, management information systems, systems engineering, industrial engineering) or equivalent, and 10 years of experience supporting product stewardship and regulatory, supply chain, or related area in SAP

• Broad knowledge of SAP functionality

• Working knowledge with chemical substance regulations (i.e., REACH, TSCA, GHS), as well as knowledge of product risk management and product stewardship

• Demonstrated project management skills

• Ability to achieve successful results through influence rather than direct authority

• Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills

• Excellent writing/verbal communication and presentation skills

• Accomplished computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and database experience

• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in cross-functional teams to deliver concrete project deliverables in a timely manner

Preferred:

• Highly Proficient in SAP EH&S functionality, including but not limited to:

  • Developing protocols, standards, and guidelines for data maintenance

  • Analyzing and retrieving data

• Full knowledge of the SAP EH&S data model and table structure

• Proficient in other SAP modules to understand processes for Orders, Deliveries, Raw Material Management, Product Shipments, etc., and how they integrate with EH&S functionality
