As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will play an essential role in this mission and be a part of our growing organization. You will be responsible for protecting patients, visitors, caregivers and hospital property by conducting regular patrols and enforcing facility policies. This role is a great steppingstone through the ability to learn and grow within the role as well as a great place to feel like you are part of a team.
A caregiver in this position works nights from 10:30PM – 7:00AM. Availability Monday-Friday and rotating weekends and holidays is required.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Patrol the internal/external premises while maintaining a high degree of courtesy and good judgment in dealing with the public.
Monitor visitor conduct, ascertain legitimacy of suspected unauthorized persons, control parking and traffic flows and enforce parking regulations.
Maintain high tact and diplomacy.
Demonstrate the ability to deal with diverse social, ethnic and religious groups.
Communicate with the public in a clear and concise manner.
Maintain a working knowledge of traffic, parking, regulations, policies and procedures.
Provide physical restraint against those who endanger caregivers, patients and visitors.
Provide escort to personnel as appropriate.
Apply restraining techniques, as required, to maintain safety and order within the hospital environment.
