Job Description

AECOM Tishman has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Assistant Superintendent for our ongoing project in Elmont, NY.

• Assists the project Superintendent and/or Project Manager by providing on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects. •
• Responsible for the organization and direction of construction activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project.
• Must hold all applicable licenses and/or certificates as required by governmental, regional or project contractual requirements.
• Responsible for and ensures project safety compliance.  
• Must be knowledgeable of applicable safety riders for area of responsibility.
• May coordinate with client’s resident representatives on jobsite activities within assigned area of operations.
• Responsibilities are to ensure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with design/specifications and to quality standards.
• Interfaces with other administrative field staff, field management staff and particularly the Project Superintendent and Project Manager in a coordinated effort.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirement:

• BA/BS Engineering, Construction Management or similar curriculum and 4 years of construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirement:

• BA Construction Management.
• 4+ years of experience in the field of construction.
• Experience from a large general contractor.
• Experience in the management and selection of subcontracted labor.
• Construction documentation proficiency.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• OSHA 30.
