About the Role: 

We are looking to hire an experienced and skilled Senior Software Developer to join one of our web teams responsible for the public facing websites of multiple well known and highly successful brands. 

Working closely with the development manager, you will play an critical role in the design, implementation and future support of our branded websites and associated services.   

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and performant web applications. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance. 

What You Will Do in This Role:

• Stay updated with emerging web technologies, industry trends, best practices, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our web development processes and methodologies. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to web applications, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on the user experience. 

• Participate in agile development practices, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews, to ensure efficient project delivery. 

• Participate in designing, coding, testing, and debugging web applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. 

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers promoting high standards of code quality and software engineering practices 

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize web application performance, security, and scalability. 

• Be part of technical design sessions and identify / document pros / cons of different approaches. 

• Exceptionally self-motivated, solid interpersonal skills and a good communicator. 

• Quick Learner and ability to adapt quickly to any new Software Development technologies. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills, willingness to take ownership and risks, and enthusiasm in the face of technical challenges. 

What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role:

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a software developer. 

• You will have a strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Algorithms and Design Patterms including SOLID. 

• Keen to learn new technologies as demanded by the business and agreed with the Development Manager. 

• Strong backend experience working with at least one of these technologies .NET, PHP or JAVA. 

• Strong frontend experience with technologies like VueJS, JavaScript, Sass, Vite, Tailwind.

• Experience of building services (e.g. Web API).

• Experienced with Microsoft SQL Server. 

• Experienced with building and working with Content Management Systems (e.g. Squidex, Umbraco). 

• Experience with Microsoft Azure (e.g.App Service, Azure Storage, Servicebus, Functions). 

• Experience with unit testing (e.g. NUnit, MSTest, Moq).​ ​
