Mindex seeks a Software Automation Engineer to design, build and administer software and be responsible for product build and deployment automation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, build and administer software and be responsible for product build and deployment automation.
• Evaluate, develop, and improve automation tools and processes to streamline the time from development to launch.
• Communicate the technical direction to, and consult with development and deployment teams in order to implement change.
• Evaluate all technical documents applicable to tests.
• Develop various test techniques for software applications.
• Conduct manual execution of test cases for new features with each release cycle to check application functionality.
• Design, develop and implement TAF based automation testing framework utilizing Java, TestNG and Selenium WebDriver.
• Create Test plans, High level scenarios, test case constructions, test estimates, resource estimates and weekly status reports. Implement TAF Model Automation framework with Java, Selenium WebDriver.
• Implement and maintain test cases and test automation according to test case specifications.
• Executes automatic test cases according to test plan.
• Perform development of automated tests and testing of software solutions.
• Participate in the overall development of existing solutions, including the deployment of all changes and upgrades.
• Perform Data driven testing using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG functions and JDBC Connections which reads data from scripts using property and XML files.
• Create Cucumber automated testing to test new and existing functionality. Create TestNG framework to run unit test and Maven to build the project.
• Create Java language and TestNG framework for scripting. Use Maven to build WebDriver project. Integrate with Continuous Integration tools Jenkins to run test on a nightly basis.
• Create automation framework in Selenium WebDriver using behavior driven approach such as Cucumber.
• Perform test planning in Functional Testing as Unit test, Method test, Test Suite, Integration Testing using different TestNG methods.
• Monitor the test execution in Jenkins once the code pushed into CI. Create data-driven automation scripts for testing API Web Services using SOAP UI.
• Test a complex Web based application with backend validation in mainframes and using SOAP UI.
• Use Quality Center/ALM for bug tracking and reporting, also followed up with development team to verify bug fixes, and update bug status.
• Ability to capture tracking needs for digital experiences, translate into tracking solutions (defining and configuring custom dimensions/metrics/events in dev tools).
• Monitor all web events and rules by using Roger watcher.
• Execute power shell scripts for staging data using command prompt. Telecommuting benefit offered.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field,
• One year of related experience including experience with software product development life cycle, quality assurance approaches, Object Oriented language (C++, C#, Java), VS 2013 .NET, MS SQL Server, Unit-testing and integration testing, UI, API, UAT, End to End, Single user performance testing, mobile testing experience using Sauce labs and perfecto, and experience in using Microsoft Azure & Cosmos DB to retrieve applicant info using containers and methods.
