Job Description

HII- Mission Technologies is looking for an experienced ACSO to help support our team in Washington DC. The Alternate Cognizant Security Officer (ACSO) is responsible for the day-today management and implementation of the facility SCI security program under the direction of their government program security officer.The ACSO is responsible for developing an organizational approach to complying with the customer's mission and vision statement while implementing applicable security policies at their facility. The ACSO must have the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and be well versed on all security disciplines: physical security, industrial security, information security, personnel security, and cyber-security. Supervising the operation of a SCIF, maintaining SCIF documentation, and administering the SCI program and applying SCI directivess regulations, manuals, and guidelines. Creating and conducting an SCI training program as well. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

Controlling, transmitting's transporting, packaging, destroying, and inventorying accountable classified information, to include media 

Conducting or leading security inquiries to include drafting final incident repolts 

Creating and maintaining access records within DISS and/or Scattered Castles 

Certifying, transmitting, and receiving visitor clearances and accesses

Conducting indoctrination and termination briefings

Conducting annual security self-assessments

Reporting derogatory information to the Central Adjudication Facility (CAF) on SCI indoctrinated personnel 

Providing support to Special Access Programs (SAPS) or Controlled Access Programs

Initiating security clearance investigations

Conducting security classification reviews in accordance with security classification guidance or applicable OCA guidance

Coordinating day-to-day security operations with ISSM/ISS

Overseeing the operation of access control systems and intrusion detection systems

Minimum Qualifications

15+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13+ years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19+ years relevant experience.

 

TS/SCI required to start, must be able and willing to obtain CI Poly. 

 

Possess a working knowledge of ICD 704 and ICD 705; to include, but not limited to : nomination interviews, validation of SCI access requirements; submission of invesigative requests, conducting SCI security brielings, obtaining signed NDAs, and perforrm other related personnel security actions. 

Preferred Requirements

Extensive experience in using the SIMS application;

Experience overseeing the operation of a closed circuit surveillance system;

Experience in drafting and overseeing construction security plans;

Working knowledge in the CAP/SAP arena and of the DODM 5205.07 Vols 1-4
