We are currently seeking a Project Manager - Application Modernization (Hybrid) to join our team in Bridgewater, New Jersey (US-NJ), United States (US). This will be a Hybrid role, so proximity to and ability to work in Bridgewater, NJ is required. 

 

The Application Rationalization Project Manager assists the Application Rationalization Program Manager in taking responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of one of the most complex programs, Application Rationalization, ensuring that realistic project, quality, change control and risk management processes are maintained. Monitors and controls resources, revenue and capital costs against the budget and manages expectations of all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists in evaluating the financial, cultural, technological, organizational and environmental factors which must be addressed in Application Simplification and Rationalization. Assesses the implications of new processes on both people and organization and identifies the activities necessary to ensure a smooth process.
• Assisting in determining, monitoring, and reviewing all program and project economics, including program costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, program resources, and program risk, ensuring that there are appropriate and effective governance arrangements, supported by comprehensive reporting.
• Aids in planning, coordinating, monitoring, and reporting on activities related to the program, from contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage.
• Helps monitor and control allocated human and material resources, associated revenue costs and all capital costs against the project budget. Helps ensure that a change control procedure is in place, and actively used to assess the effect of changes to the projects on costs, timescale and/or resource needs and reports these to project sponsors.
• Assists in leading one or more project teams, allocating and monitoring tasks, motivating staff and appraising individual performance. Liaises with other managers within the IT functions and within the business; manages expectations of all project stakeholders.
• Leads project planning, scheduling, controlling, and reporting activities for strategic, high impact, high risk projects, ensuring that comprehensive project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained.
• Ensures that realistic estimates of costs, timescales and resource requirements are agreed and carries out the monitoring of projects against these criteria, taking corrective action as necessary.
• Mitigates risk and ensures that any strategic problems are identified at the earliest opportunity and that solutions are identified and implemented, in line with change control processes.
• Helps prepare executive status dashboard on a monthly basis.
• Helps manage portfolio level communications and expectations.
• Acts as an SPOC for the program.

 

Experiences And Qualifications

• Require 8+ years of demonstrated success as a project manager driving large IT projects in complex, matrix, multi-national corporate environments, executing across multiple time-zones and cultures; has in-depth knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques for the effective management of programs and projects, from initiation through to implementation.
• Previous experience in application rationalization required.
• Can effectively navigate conflict between multiple business constituents and appropriately balance risk with business value.
• Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory.
