ECS is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to support the development and integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cloud Solutions for a DoD customer.

 

Position Description:

 

ECS is seeking a technically skilled Deputy Program Manager to manage and provide direction to Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) projects supporting a DoD customer. The Deputy Program Manager will provide program management support across the Field Service Operations team and will report directly to the Program Manager, who administers the portfolio. The ideal candidate has experience successfully completing projects using an Agile Management framework in a complex environment. The work is performed in a multidisciplinary team setting, supporting several lines of effort delivering revolutionary capabilities to the US Intelligence Community and Operational Forces in CONUS and overseas. The candidate is highly motivated and enthusiastic about implementing new technologies where deadlines are important to national security.

 

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a diverse team of technical and subject matter experts in the execution of a variety of requirements supporting several projects delivering actual capabilities to the tactical edge.
• Manage Cost, Schedule, Performance (Deliverables), Scope and Risk for assigned project in the portfolio to deliver customer requirements.
• Work directly with the Government team daily to define requirements, adjust to changing priorities, and adapt to strategic challenges that influence focus of effort.
• Interface with support functions including contracts, procurement, logistics and HR to execute program and project activities. Responsible for preparing Statements of Work (SOW), conduct project Kickoff meetings, lead Weekly Status meetings and ensure the successful delivery of contract line items (CLINS).
• Collaborate with project team members and coordinate with functional leads to acquire matrixed support to provide necessary skills to complete project tasks and work packages. Demonstrate the skills and values of a collaborative leader.
• Prepare and deliver status reports. Provide weekly project updates to the Government Program Manager and ECS management team.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have a Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance with SCI.
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of management experience; prior project management experience required.
• Experience/proficiency with Information Management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Gitlab etc.
• Ability to travel occasionally in support of project activities CONUS and OCONUS.
• Experience with SDLC, Agile Management, and Project Lifecycle.
• Experience in detailed technical requirements gathering, interpretation, analysis, and validation to develop strategic plans to meet customer mission requirements.
• Experience leading technical and non-technical teams in the many components of project management such as: financial management, program documentation, scheduling, deployment, customer service, quality control, and others.
• Experience managing subcontractors; managing multiple, diverse, and non-traditional subcontractors is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals.
• Knowledge of sensor imaging systems and products and familiarity with AI/ML learning applications, integration, and testing/evaluation standards.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders in the customer space and managing competing priorities.
• Requires the ability to operate in a fluid, high operational tempo environment. Must demonstrate flexibility and the ability to change directions rapidly when required.
