The client is a global visual inspiration social media platform used by people around the world to discover and personalize visual content.
Today, more than 450 million people come to the platform every month to explore and experience billions of ideas that have been saved.

The project is all about large-scale Data processing. You will work on one of the world's largest social media platform which deals with a few petabytes of data coming to the system daily. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and drive innovation in a fast-paced environment.

The team is an international one; all team members are divided into Scrum teams consisting of 5-7 people. You will contribute as part of R&D self-organized team working in a challenging, innovative environment for our client.

Your daily tasks:

• Design, implement, and maintain pipelines that produce business critical data reliably and efficiently using cloud technology
• Ensure that assigned area/areas are delivered within set deadlines and required quality objectives
• Provide estimations, agree on task duration with the manager, and contribute to the project plan of the assigned area
• Evaluate existing data systems
• Develop best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system
• Update and optimize local and metadata models
• Evaluate implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency
• Troubleshoot and optimize data systems
• Initiate and conduct code reviews, creates code standards, conventions, and guidelines
• Suggest technical and functional improvements to add value to the product
• Constantly improve his/her professional level

• Extensive Python and Java coding skills 
• Expertise with Thrift and RPC Services
• Experience with distributed systems
• Ability to organize and document solutions
• A passion for streamlining systems and processes
• Strong OOP skills
• Result oriented approach
• Upper-intermediate level English (spoken & written)

Nice to have:

• Experience with AWS & K8S.
