Title

Financial Analyst I - Hybrid (Kalamazoo)

The Financial Analyst I provides financial analysis and support for Bronson Healthcare Group and its subsidiaries. This role supports financial planning, budgeting, and compliance processes while assisting with general ledger account analysis, required surveys, contractual agreements, and other accounting and financial duties as assigned. The position works under supervision and contributes insights that improve financial performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Serve as a budget representative and assist budget leads in compiling and organizing data.
    • Perform variance analysis and support development of budgets and forecasts.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting
    • Prepare standard financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and ad hoc reports.
    • Conduct general ledger account analysis and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Pro Forma Development & Lookbacks
    • Create basic pro formas and organize detailed financial data for review.
    • Perform lookback analyses to support decision-making and evaluate financial performance.
  • Ad Hoc Projects
    • File organization encompasses requests, assignments, status tracking, approvals, budget preparation, and document disbursement.
    • Financial analysis includes evaluating various procedures, utilization of supplies and pharmaceuticals, staffing considerations, and related factors.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
    • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements
    • Effective communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines
  • Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills
