Therapist - Overnight Crisis/WIC (53746)

Join the Crisis Services division at Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) as we lead a statewide initiative offering critical mental health and crisis support for those in need. Our Walk-In Crisis Center (WIC) and 16-bed Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) operate 24/7, providing immediate assessments, safety planning, therapy, and care referrals. We’re seeking a skilled Master's-level Unlicensed Therapist (MA in Counseling with a Candidate Permit - SWC/LSW, LPCC, or MFT-C), Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT), or Unlicensed/Licensed Psychologist to deliver compassionate, quick-response crisis care in our WIC, including overnight support. The ideal candidate has a background in crisis management, de-escalation, and mental health assessments, is organized, adaptable, and committed to collaborative, on-site client care. Schedule. Fully In-person/Onsite working 4x10-hour shifts:

• Wednesday - Saturday; 8:30 pm - 7:00 am

Shift Differential Pay. The Swing shift differential is paid from 3 pm to 11 pm, and the Overnight shift differential is paid from 11 pm - 7 am

• Swing Weekday (Mon-Thurs): $2.75/hour
• Swing Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun): $3.25//hour
• Overnight Weekday (Monday - Thursday): $4.00/hour
• Overnight Weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday): $5.00/hour

All Crisis Services positions are paid hourly and are eligible for shift differentials.

Salary for this role. Wage is based on years of licensure and company equity. Shift differentials are available for certain shifts.

• Unlicensed Therapist: $28.12 - $38.48 per hour
• Licensed Therapist: $31.98 - $43.76 per hour
• Unlicensed Psychologist: $33.66- $40.13 per hour
• Licensed Psychologist: $47.83 - $57.03 per hour

Bilingual Language Differential Pay. The rate depends on language requirements for the position and the candidate's fluency. 

• Employees who successfully pass a language assessment are eligible to receive bilingual differential pay. This differential is paid on a bi-weekly basis and is equivalent to 5% of the employee’s regular base rate (hourly or salaried), with a maximum of $3,000.00 per calendar year. The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full-time equivalency (FTE). 

Essential Duties:

• Facilitate recovery and optimal quality of life in clients with behavioral health concerns, by providing clinical services, case management and education. In collaboration with the client, create and carry out a consistent plan of treatment, from intake and assessment to closure.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments, individual, family and/or group therapy with assigned clients.
• Develop and monitor treatment plans; update at required intervals.
• Consult with internal and external professionals and collaterals to ensure access to needed services and proactive coordination of care.
• Provide clinical case-management services as needed. Provide crisis intervention as appropriate.
• Provide comprehensive clinical services designed to decrease symptoms and improve quality of life.
• Assist clients to evaluate strengths and symptoms, and set their own goals.
• Guide and instruct clients in coping skills.
• Offer consultation to community partners and providers.
• Ensure that billing information is up-to-date for assigned clients. Seek insurance authorization for services as required.
• Write reports and other correspondence, as necessary, and with appropriate releases.
• Complete all requests to provide the necessary information and undertake the required activities to ensure timely and ongoing credentialing with third party payers.
• Staff member will monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the clients care team.
