The Opportunity

The position of Warehouse Supervisor within our Infectious Disease business unit located at Scarborough, Maine.

This position is responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities related to receiving raw materials and shipping finished goods to customers and affiliates worldwide. The Warehouse Supervisor provides leadership to warehouse personnel, directs daily operations, and ensures all transactions are executed accurately and in compliance with departmental, divisional, quality, and regulatory requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, compliance with GMP, CAPA, FDA, DOT, and IATA regulations, as well as driving productivity improvements, maintaining safety standards, and supporting employee training and development.

What You’ll Work On

  • Manage staffing and resource planning, including writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approvals, and coordinating with Human Resources.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate trade compliance policies, including import/export regulations, corporate standards, and FDA requirements for the distribution, storage, and handling of products.
  • Develop direct reports by securing appropriate training modules, assigning progressively challenging responsibilities, and administering verbal and written disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Monitor daily warehouse operations at the production warehouse to achieve departmental goals while maintaining compliance.
  • Manage the daily Cycle Count Program and ensure inventory accuracy and data integrity.
  • Maintain personnel records (vacations, work schedules, leaves of absence, etc.) and adjust staffing as needed to meet daily operational goals.
  • Oversee and support the implementation of cost‑reduction initiatives and safety improvements.
  • Monitor the work environment to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Maintain departmental metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day warehouse activities, schedule floor operations, expedite workflows, and resolve operational issues as they arise.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises employees in Material Handling. Performs supervisory duties in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including:
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training employees
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work
  • Monitoring and evaluating performance
  • Rewarding, disciplining, and coaching employees
  • Addressing complaints and resolving problems
