While prior experience in hospitality is a plus, it is not a requirement for this role. The project is located in Big Sur, CA, and the candidate will be required to be on-site 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel renovation project, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and in line with client specifications.

  • Perform regular site inspections to ensure the quality of work, compliance with safety regulations, and adherence to the project timeline. Document and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Assist in the management of the project budget and timeline, including preparing reports and tracking expenditures. Help mitigate risks related to cost overruns and delays.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the hotel client regarding project status, issues, and any change orders. Maintain open communication to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Identify potential risks to the project timeline and budget and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, meeting notes, and documentation for project stakeholders and the client.
  • Provide support to the project team, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently, and work is completed in alignment with the project’s goals.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in a construction project management role.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, hotel renovation processes, and building systems integration.
  • Previous experience with hotel renovation projects is a plus, but not essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and lead meetings.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to be on-site 5 days a week at the Big Sur location.
  • The position requires a hands-on approach to project management, with a focus on site coordination and MEP systems.
  • A background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is essential to ensure proper implementation of technical requirements.
  • This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile hotel renovation project and gain experience in the hospitality industry.
